When 3D printer companies talk about what sets them apart from their competitors, they almost always talk about things like features, materials, software or their technical process. We talk about those things too because what we at Rize have to offer is certainly extraordinary. But we also talk about something that is perhaps even more important, our team.
The Rize team is certainly unique, impressive and will undoubtedly give competitors and other industry insiders pause. Why? We’ve gathered an ensemble of arguably the most experienced cross-disciplinary veterans, no, pioneers and rock stars, in 3D printing.
Take our legendary group of former Z Corporation (later acquired by 3D Systems) materials, software and hardware engineers and marketing experts. In fact, most of the Rize team, including our founder and CTO, Eugene Giller (who also developed materials technology that led to the Google Glasses), and VP of Engineering, Tom Davidson, are Z Corp. alumnae who developed the company’s famous ZPrinter full-color inkjet 3D printing technology and whose marketing made Z Corp. the envy of its competitors, including the introduction of social media to 3D printing. Remember the famous viral 3D printed wrench video?
We have renown engineering, customer support and leadership pros from Objet (later acquired by Stratasys), who took Objet from a garage-based startup in the US to an $85M 3D printing behemoth just six years later, setting up the purchase by Stratasys.
And, if it weren’t for our co-founder, Leonid Raiz, 3D printing might very likely not have been possible. Among many other celebrated software accomplishments, Leonid literally invented 3D CAD software that powered the first 3D printers and beyond. No one knows software, especially 3D modeling software, like Leonid.
With over 20 3D printing patents among our employees, the Rize team is one of our most valuable differentiators.
