Ceramic/Metal Project Lead

We are seeking an individual to join our fast-paced Materials team to develop and optimize ceramic and metal materials and print processes for our patented Augmented Deposition technology. Successful candidates should be a motivated individual, team player and problem solver who is able to adapt, switch and balance priorities quickly.


  • Develop inks and print processes for Rize’s patented Augmented Deposition technology
  • Perform and interpret testing and characterization of materials
  • Develop test plans and operate printers to test and optimize materials, and design or improve print processes
  • Investigate and solve problems related to materials and/or printers
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary team to solve complex issues
  • Maintain high level of communication with cross-functional team, management and partners


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Ceramic, Chemical Engineering or other related field
  • 2-7 years industrial experience working with ceramic and metal materials
  • Experience working with polymers
  • Highly knowledgeable and experience with inorganic chemistry
  • Previous hands-on experience in a lab or R&D setting
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively
  • Self-motivated individual that can work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot printers’ issues

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in additive manufacturing
  • Experience with inkjet technology
  • Experience formulating inks, coatings or developing materials
  • Experience working with a wide range of materials such as polymers, ceramics, metals
